Creating Lifelong Memories on the Track
There’s nothing quite like seeing your child take the wheel for the first time. At Redline Racing, we’ve made it our mission to create safe, unforgettable moments for young racers through our Cadet Karts, designed specifically for minors 48 inches to 54 inches tall.
Our Cadet Track offers kids the chance to experience the thrill of go-karting in a safe, age-appropriate environment. It’s the perfect blend of fun, learning, and confidence-building, an activity the whole family can enjoy.
Is Your Child Ready to Race?
Before your child hits the track, here’s what to know:
- Height Requirement: The Cadet Track is open to racers between 48 inches and 54 inches tall, ensuring they can reach the pedals and steer comfortably.
- Waiver: All Cadet racers must have a minor waiver completed by a parent or guardian before their first race. While the waiver link isn’t publicly available online, our team will send it directly for scheduled Cadet races and birthday parties so parents can complete it ahead of time. For walk-ins, a guardian will simply need to sign in person on their first visit.
- Gear: A helmet and balaclava are required for participation. You’re welcome to bring your own DOT-approved helmet and/or balaclava; we’ll waive the rental fee.
If it’s your child’s first time, don’t worry, our friendly team walks them through everything before they get behind the wheel. We make kids’ go-karting in Orem easy, safe, and fun from the very first lap.
Our Commitment to Safety
At Redline Racing, safety always takes the checkered flag. Every young racer receives properly fitted gear, and our Cadet Karts are designed with junior drivers in mind.
Each kart features adjustable seats, padded bumpers, and speed controls to give kids a controlled yet exciting experience. Our staff monitors every lap closely, ensuring each race remains smooth and safe for children of all experience levels.
The Cadet Track Advantage
Our Cadet Track isn’t a downsized version of the adult track; it’s purpose-built for younger drivers. The circuit features a mix of low-, medium-, and high-speed corners, helping kids develop steering control, reaction time, and racing awareness in a setting specifically designed for them.
It’s the ideal place for children to learn the fundamentals of karting, practice good driving habits, and build confidence lap after lap. If you’re looking for Utah family activities that mix excitement with skill-building, this is it.

Briefing for Young Drivers
Before each session, our instructors lead an engaging safety and driving briefing specifically tailored to kids. The focus is on learning through fun, covering simple topics such as flag meanings, braking, passing safely, and what to do if they need help on the track.
Parents are encouraged to observe the briefing and see how our team makes learning exciting while keeping safety top of mind.
Tips for Parents: Helping Your Young Racer Thrive
A little encouragement goes a long way. Here are a few ways to help your child get the most out of their racing experience:
- Encourage confidence, not competition. The goal is learning and fun, not lap records.
- Celebrate progress. Every lap completed is a win worth cheering for.
- Take photos and videos. Capture the big smiles and proud moments from the viewing area.
- Plan ahead. Remember, there are no Cadet Races after 7 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, so daytime visits are best for young racers.
