An Outing Everyone Enjoys

Finding family activities that keep both a six-year-old and a fifteen-year-old excited is not easy. Trampoline parks lose their appeal after age ten. Bowling gets old fast. And another afternoon of screens is exactly what you are trying to avoid.

Redline Racing is where Utah County families come for screen-free, high-energy fun that works for every age. Kids race Cadet karts on the Cadet Track, while older siblings and parents compete on the Pro Track. Everybody gets the adrenaline, and nobody gets bored.

This is the kind of place where families don’t just visit once; they come back. Where neighbors bring neighbors, and weekends quickly turn into a new tradition. Built by championship-level karting experience from Utah Motorsports Campus, Redline combines professional-grade track design with the warmth of a local gathering spot that’s fun for the whole family.

Whether you’re planning a night out, looking for something new to do this weekend, or hosting friends and family, Redline makes it simple. Race together and leave with a story worth talking about.

What a Family Visit Looks Like

A typical family visit at Redline takes about 60-90 minutes. Here is what to expect from arrival to the victory lap.

Step 1: Check in and gear up.

Walk in, sign the waiver, and get fitted with helmets. Our team will guide first-time racers through kart controls and safety rules so everyone feels confident before hitting the track.

Step 2: Cadets hit the Cadet Track.

Kids 48 inches and taller climb into Cadet karts designed for younger drivers, with speed settings adjusted for safety. The Cadet Track gives them their own space to learn the course and build confidence.

Step 3: Race on the Pro Track.

Once the Cadets finish, the whole family (those over 54”) can race head-to-head on the Pro Track. Parents and teens compete in full-speed karts during 13-lap races. This is where the competition and bragging rights get serious.

Step 4: Cool down in the family game zone.

After the checkered flag, keep the fun going in our game area, perfect for younger siblings and anyone taking a break between races.

Step 5: Refuel at the snack bar.

Take a break and grab a bite from our snack bar with favorites like pizza, hot dogs, pretzels, and nachos, and refreshing drinks, including our popular dirty sodas. It’s the perfect way to recharge between races or after the checkered flag. If you’re planning a full meal, you’ll also find plenty of great family-friendly restaurants nearby in Orem.

Redline features three track layouts, so there is always something fresh: the dedicated Cadet Track for younger drivers, the Pro Track for adults and teens, and the Pro Technical Track for more advanced racers.

I took the family to redline racing for the first time since we moved to this part of Utah for my birthday today. It was an incredibly positive experience and my family was super happy. The staff is really patient and nice, especially to my younger daughter who doesn’t have a lot of experience racing. My daughter said she now wants to take go kart classes so she can go more often because the staff there was really supportive and encouraging. The facility is clean the staff is attentive and professional and the overall vibe is really positive and nice. We will 100% be going back for future family outings. I can’t recommend it enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is go-kart racing safe for kids?

Yes. Redline Racing uses Cadet karts with adjusted speed settings on the dedicated Cadet Track for younger drivers (48 inches and taller). Every first-time racer receives a safety briefing, every session is monitored by staff, and each track is designed to meet professional-grade safety standards developed from championship karting experience at Utah Motorsports Campus.

How old does my child need to be to race?

There is no strict age minimum; instead, a height requirement is used: 48 inches for the Cadet Track and 54 inches for the Pro Track. Most children reach 48 inches between the ages 7 and 9.

Can parents race with their kids?

Absolutely. After Cadets finish on the Cadet Track, the whole family (those 54 inches and above) can race together on the Pro Track. Parents and teens compete head-to-head in adult karts on 13-lap races. It is one of the few activities where a twelve-year-old can legitimately beat a parent and earn bragging rights that last all week.
